Recordings on Yoga

This page introduces Franklin Merrell-Wolff's audio recordings on the subject of yoga; you can also browse his Recordings on Yoga directly.

In formulating his Introceptive Philosophy, Wolff endeavored to provide a way to Fundamental Realization or Enlightenment; in other words, he set out to articulate a method of yoga. Accordingly, the recordings listed under “My Philosophy” could also have been listed here. Likewise, a number of the recordings presented here could have been listed under “My Philosophy.”

In addition to discourses that address his specific contribution to the method of yoga, this category contains recordings in which Wolff discusses other aspects of Yoga. Here one will find discussions on various forms of yoga (the yoga of knowledge, the yoga of love, tantric yoga, and Zen), on the prerequisites for yoga (yogic purification and the power of the will), as well as Wolff’s thoughts on the question of what form of yoga is most suitable for an individual. There are also recordings that contain Wolff’s reflections on several books on yoga, and a number of discourses on philosophical and psychological topics that relate to the finer points of yoga.
