This page contains a number of video interviews of Franklin Merrell-Wolff. The first interview below was produced by Joel Morwood in 1983, at which time Wolff was ninety-six years old. The video begins with a visit to “The Ashrama,” a structure that Wolff and his students built in California’s eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains (for more information on this edifice, see “The Ashrama” page under the Franklin Merrell-Wolff tab of this website).
The Ashrama is the focus of the next two interviews, both of which were made at a time when this structure’s historical significance was being evaluated by the National Forest Service: The Philosopher’s Stone (1980) was created by Faustin Bray and Brian Wallace; Ashrama Man was aired by Mammoth TV in 1983. The last video below is a YouTube excerpt from the full-length interview of Wolff that was conducted for The Philosopher’s Stone. The entire interview is available for sale at Wolff Interview.
In addition to these videos, a 1983 interview of Wolff was published in Laughing Man Magazine 4, No. 4 (1984), 55-60.
